Photography

Distrito Federal de Mexico (La Ciudad)

My relationship with photography is complicated: I shoot a lot, yet somehow never shoot enough.

The process of doing selects is a rollercoaster of emotions. It starts with a lot of motivation, but the longer it takes, the more space there is for doubt to creep in. My inner voice(s) start debating on the value of it all.

I often wonder, “Is this even worth it?

That loop sits at the root of my larger struggles with art. There’s so much incredible work out there that I sometimes wonder: what am I adding? Am I contributing something real, or just more noise?

My saving grace lately is a simple idea I keep returning to: what I bring to the table is mine alone. My eye, my taste, my approach is uniquely mine. That reminder is what keeps me moving.

So cynicism aside, the photos on this page are from a family trip to Ciudad Mexico, an incredible place that has too much to offer, and my images do little justice to the place. I encourage everyone to experience it for themselves.
